Bars with bands for casual listening?
Assuming I don't want to pay more than $10 to go hear a band in the nabe, where would you send me? I like cover bands with the right amount of vodka, or rock, blues, jazz. I keep finding myself with no plans with friends in Park Slope and want to just go have some drinks and hear some music. Bar 4 is OK, but it's so small and the open mic nights can be depressing, and the bands can be really loud and really bad. Barbes is good, but it's so intimate. Southpaw is fun, but the shows I have gone to there are like $20. Kitchen Bar used to have a blues singer every once in awhile and BarBQ sometimes has bluegrass which is either fun or weird.
What are your suggestions? Thanks!

Living Room has music and Hanks on 3rd (not in the Slope) does a lot of country/bluegrass/rockabilly. Pacific Standard doesn't have bands, but they do the occasional poetry reading and I find it's has a comfortable lounging area.
