Shooting on Kingston + St. Marks

I live on that block. I heard the shots, but haven't heard anything about the perpetrator. The police stopped by our building and even though there were plenty of people on the street, no one came forward with information. My guess is that it was drug/gang related. There's loads of that kind of activity on this block. It would surprise me if no one would i.d. a Hassidic man, because they appear on this block very infrequently. It would not surprise me if no one wanted to come forward against a gang member or drug dealer. But again, I haven't heard anything. Then again, I've been inside all day studying, so I may very well have missed something.
I have been looking for information as well. It happened around ten last night, so it might take a while for the news cycle to catch up. I did just learn that the victim died. Now it's a murder; that'll make the news for sure.

I challenge you t find me any black kid who ever had Jewish men come over to him with a knife demanding his money, NEVER, let alone SHOOTING??? Ask any Jewish kid how many time's he's been confronted by blacks in the street with those or similar scenarios, and much to my dismay, MANY have experienced such incidents, so dont go now, and try to turn the tables, you know very well, that Jews are naturaly NOT violen people or criminals, of course there are always exceptions, but facts are facts, weather you like them or not, i'm not saying this to brag about anyone or to insult anyone, but i am just outraged how people can come up with such fantasies.
So, your trying to create some racist headlines, so you had to do this one?
Stop trying to turn the tables, the facts on a daily basis remain the same, jews are the victims on a DAILY basis, while a black is the victim of a jewish crime- alomost never, yes, i do know about the "charles" incident and the story is not as simple as is being portrayed in the media, wether he threw stones at Jews or not, he did NOT have any pepper spray, and he was hit ONCE, and MAYBE , just MAYBE, came away witha black and blue mark, (and remember, the patrol memebers who did this rather minor incident did not do this to rob him, did not do this to assault him, etc.. but rather beacuse he was or they thought he was throwing stones) so you CAN'NOT compare a (Jewish) community who is being assaulted on a daily basis with SERIOUS assaults, coming away with SERIOUS injuries, and being ROBBED of thier posessions in the street, to a (Black) community who is NEVER robbed, shot and assaulted by the other (Jewish)community, excluding ONE thats right, ONE case, (compared to hundreds over the past couple of years on Jews), which was a MINOR incident, there was no VISCIOUS beating (if there was, it would be visible- dont fool yourself), and was intended (at least) to be in self defense, my point is, dont kid yourself, and dont fool youself, you know deep down that the sides here are NOT EQUAL as many of you portray that to be, stop playing your dirty games, we need a Jewish sharpton, who will tell it like it is!
I am sorry if i was too blunt, i just wanted to tell the situation LIKE IT IS, no twisted facts, i get along very well with my black neigbors, it's not them, it's those (mostly) YOUTH, you have got to control them, look, we are NOT perfect, your not perfect, NO humans are perfect, but common human decency is a MUST, we dont live in a jungle here, this is an organized as well as free society, and we ALL have to work and strive that it should be a SAFE society, SAFE for our children to walk outside at nite with out the threat of being assaulted or robbed.
So dearest NYPD, all we ask for is safety and security, no double standard, no extra, WE are the ones being constantly attacked and all we want is just to live in safety and in peace, just like everyone else, nothing more.
May the L-rd protect us, and bring peace upon all mankind.

I am not, by any means trying to incite racism. If any thing, incite thought.

My headline is in fashion with todays current media trends. Sensationalism, with a hint of the truth. The incident that happened to the young man who was beaten unconcious was a sad issue. It did not warrant the sensationalism that it received. Painting this false picture of racial tension.

Show you incidents of violence of Jews against Blacks... I won't go there, for what will it prove. I can name young black men beaten to death, places where homes where fire bombed. The true causes for the tensions back in the day that tarnishes the relationships that have been built in the interim.

The dumb ass black kids, to whom I call my brothers and sisters have no where to turn, no opportunity. They are given substandard educations in substandard schools. The do not get the supervision they need from the mostly single family homes due to the parents enslaved to the system, either through the positve and negative spectrums: either over worked and stressed out or a victim of the "War on Drugs" (need we not forget the proven government sponsored drug deals during the reagan era). Where did those drugs end up, what was their cause and effect? After decades of portrayal on television as bafoons and sub-standard, television, the true weapon of mass destruction. The kids the dumb ones who are a product of the above. The same way the world is taught to fear us a mindless, incompetent race, with a few exceptions, the end result is those of us. The mindless and influential to the ways of ill doing, see thier opposites as the victims. The week and feeble. It has been made a jungle for them, who becomes the prey.

I take you here now, all of the things that we as the minority races in this country have been complaining about. Acting up about. What was the result? Open unbiased ears? No, we got law and legistlation. When we asked for help in stopping the drug influx into our community, what did we get? The Dirty Dozen. The Rockefeller Laws. 100 to 1 ratio in sentences crack to powder.
Now we have the "War of Terror on the hood" I got off the train the other day, broad daylight. I was kind of insulted when a Jewish woman saw me approaching her direction and she backed up giving me the gas face muttering in hebrew. What did I do?

The craziest thing is that in the eyes of terror and despair, it is my people who are usually the first to sacrifice for the sake of others, with out question. It is my people who have been the back bone of this beautiful land. To fight for the right to defend your country full well knowing that you will be the first to be sent to the front to die.

These things that we have suffered, they are coming to the rest of you all. Look around you. All of the short comings and sufferings that we have always lived with, the rest are now tasting the bitterness of. The rich get richer and the rest are being pushed to the bottom with us. Oh, wait, let me rephrase that, they, the richer are moving that cut off line further up.

So racism, what is that to me. I really don't know what racism is, because I am told that the things that I think are racism, bias and bigotry are not. Those things don't exist anymore in this country.

As for the original post. I clearly stated that this is what I was told by someone who allegedly witnessed it. The post was an inquiry. The headline, may I ask how you would have put it.

Its funny that Guest is saying that Blacks no opportunities, i am a minority and i grew up in the hood back inthe early 80'd my parents were not rich but they gave us the tools to go out into the world and not be criminals, so its up to the stupid individual who goes out and is not smart enough to make something out of themselves. I have Black neighbor's who were middle class who had kids who were given everything and had more than us and most on our block, but guess what both my childhood friends are in Jail both for murder and that is a choice they made and they had everything going for them!!!
