Looking for classic/vintage/old-fashioned apartment for film

Hi. I am looking for an apartment to rent out/use for a student film I am shooting between May 17 and June 15th.

Ideally, it would be kind of long and narrow. Preferably with a large window or set of windows in the bedroom or living area. 1BR is ideal but the right studio could work too. I want it to be older, not modern at all. I'd like for an older kitchen, but still functional. Not to say I want a complete dump, but something that's been lived in and has some class to it. The film isn't a period piece but think of something that could pass as 50s/60s/70s/80s. I'm working with a pretty limited budget so I know I probably won't get the ideal apartment but I'd like to come as close as possible.

If you or anyone you know has access to such an apartment please send me an e-mail. Pictures would be great if you could manage them somehow, too!

  • I have the perfect apartment for you. I own a brownstone with railroad apartments (long and narrow) and are 1 bedrooms. The kitchen is old but functional.
However, your timing will have to be adjusted a bit. The current tenants are leaving at the end of July. Once they leave I will gut renovate the bathroom and upgrade the electrical....so the apartment won't be available till around Aug. 1st.

The apartment is a large 1 bedroom railroad with exposed brick and wood flooring. rent is around 1500. Located in a north park slope brownstone. PM me if your interested or have any questions
  • I have an apt available now, the thing is, the kitchen and bathroom were updated. if you want to use the livingroom and bedroom for those scenes thats ok with me. lots of crown moldings and shutters on the windows.
