Forgetting Sarah Marshall
OK, so I found myself with time on my hands on 42nd on Monday. By myself. So I vote to go to a Grown Up movie, since I haven't in quite some time. Although I have been to many kid movies. So I go to see Forgetting Sarah Marshall, mostly just because I was amused by the ad campaign and graffiti inspired by it ("You have a stinky vagina, Sarah Marshall," etc.)
Anyway.
So I'm watching the movie, and then I see Jason Segel's schlong. Not like a flash, like full on schlongedge. I'm used to the butt shots, ala Costner, of which there were plenty too. But the whole multiple schlong exposure was a new thing on me. Not that I don't mind seeing a little dick, well, no one wants to say "little" there, seeing a dick occasionally, or whatever. But it was featured clearly in multiple scenes.
As someone who hasn't been to grown up movies in quite some time, as I previously mentioned, I wonder if this is now common in R rated films? Or if I just got lucky, har-de-har. I don't remember penis in R rated films in the past. I can recall hearing about a stunt cock in Boogie Nights or whatever, but I didn't see that one. So educate me, Grown Up movie going folk. Is this something I should get used to? Because I'm like OK with that and stuff, I'm just wondering.

not certain. penis used to be enough to make something NC-17. but really? lots of penis? might go see, just to, well, see. I'm easily amused.
-

Full on schlongage is not something i would choose to watch on a big screen.

The penis isn't worth going for.
But the Dracula love songs are! It's getting kind of hard to believe things are going to better.
Well, that and the part where he is too afraid to jump off the cliff and the chick yells up at him, "Come ON Peter, I can see your vagina!"
I've been drowning too long to believe that the tide's going to turn.
I've been living too hard to believe things are going to get easier now.
I'm still trying to shake off the pain from the lessons I've learned.
And if I see Van Helsing I swear to the lord I will slay him. AH-HAH-HAH-HAH!
He'd take it from me, but I swear I won't let it be so. AH-HAH-HAH-HAH!
Blood will run down his face when he is decapited. AH!
His head on my mantle is how I will let this one know: how much I love you.
Die.
Die.
Die.
I can't.
That was pretty funny.
Oh, and there was the dry humping the nun part. That was good.
You know, I'm making it sound WAY better than it is. But it doesn't _completely_ suck. -

Mr. Floppy, though. -
you know, I never took the ewan mcgregor schlong bait, I see no reason I should see this movie. le sigh. penis = very little value added.

I agree, it was really superfluous in this film. The concept would have been just as funny (which really wasn't very) with a waist up shot. But hey, I can't complain. -

Well, you know when you get to the end of the day? And you say to yourself, self, what have I done today? Am I living my life to its utmost potential? Well, yesterday I could say that I saw a famous guy's penis on the big screen multiple times.
And that _has_ to count for something.

It does have a non-nude sex scene that is pretty damn funny and inventive, in retrospect I probably should have been taking notes. -

I said to myself, I said, "self! what do you think you're accomplishing here?" and then I said to myself, I said, "self! I'm watching famous schlong!" -

Floppy Full on Schlongage ?
better or worse ?
HMMM :wtf: -
Daver, you must not have seen anything with Harvey Keitel. I don't think he can manage to get through a movie without full frontal nudity. It might be in his contract somewhere.
-
I'm all for male frontal nudity. There is a disproportionate number of movies with full frontal female nudity.
I saw Forgetting Sarah Marshall and I'd much rather see some schlong than watching people get machine gunned to death -
Yes, I feel that it is imperative that we have equal rights and stop the full frontal disparity within our cinematic culture. To this extent I implore all movie goers to insist, nay, Demand! More Schlongage in our movies!
If I don't see some freekin schlong in the next movie I go to I'm writing my Senator!! -

it was sad: there were no penis' in cloverfield. I felt like at least one should have been exposed. for comedic value, at least.

I've seen him in a couple Taratino flicks, and that one where he runs the cigar shop, I think, where he takes the same picture every day? Only it isn't _really_ the same?
But I can't recall seeing his weiner.
I need to get out more.
I've been missing out! -

Yes.
And The Piano. -
Ewan McGregor is also a repeat offender.
Trainspotting
Velvet Goldmine
The Pillow Book
Young Adam -

Wow, he is just whipping it out all over the place. I've seen him in Star Wars, Big Fish (which was awesome,) Shallow Grave (which was awesome-er,) and I don't know what all else.
Trainspotting
Velvet Goldmine
The Pillow Book
Young Adam
But never any schlongage.
But anyways, in answer to my question, I guess this is not _that_ out of the ordinary these days.
Hmm, well, OK then!
So are these all floppers, or do they go full mast in R-rated too now?
Inquiring minds want to know! -
I've only seen Mr. floppy.
-
LydiaBrunch wrote: Ewan McGregor is also a repeat offender.
yeah, I mentioned him above. trainspotting was awesome. I'm afraid of the pillow book - it looks fetishistic, to say the least.
Trainspotting
Velvet Goldmine
The Pillow Book
Young Adam
yeah, I'm not good with movies and would rather just see resident evil for the 100th time. -
Missed that, sorry. Re: the floppy question - IIRC Kevin Bacon was without flop in Wild Things? Though it's been awhile since I saw it... why do I know these things?
