  • This is great! Screw buying tickets. If it's in the band shell than I can picnic in the park and hear him just fine.
  • Well first thing this morning I ordered tickets . Real Dylan fans will pay for tickets..Lol! Sure there are a number of concerts in Celebrate Brooklyn that are just minimal contribution but this is Dylan! I wouldn't wait too long to get tickets if you want to go. Also who is on the bill with him has not been announced but likely the other act will be someone very special. Like who would not want to be on a roster will Bob Dylan. So you can tell I am fan. No negative Dylan comments here.. each to their own taste. I expect it will be a glorious night.
  • ARRRRRRGGHHHHH!!!! I will be in Seattle then, goddammit!!!!!
  • Isn't he dead?

I see, they'll pay for tockets and thickets, but will they pay for tickets?

I'm a poor lady and soon to get poorer, so I'll have to do with my wine and picnic blanket. But I am excited! Yeah Dylan.

They are on pre-sale now. Guessing they will be gone by the time they go "public".

    No, but you must be!
  • I wonder which songs he reworked since I last saw him. I love seeing how long it takes me into the song to figure out he's changed the tempo and verse melody and phrasing to Tangled Up In Blue.

He's a spry one, that Bob.
  • Just got 2 tix...just enter the code TILDEN for pre-sale access...
  • Damn! I really want to buy tickets but I'll probably be in Phoenix for work that week.
  • Thanks for the tip on the password, it worked, but the only tickets left were on the lawn. And it said no blankets or coolers. I guess they're going to cram 'em in on the lawn. I bought tickets anyway. You know this is going to sell out quickly once word really gets out.
  • No CHAIRS or coolers.
  • i am so friggen going to this. people can say what they want about him, i've seen him twice recently and the man plays a hell of a show.
  • $137 for 2 tiks through Ticketmaster w/password - for "standing only - lawn" - WTF!!
  • woah, really? that uh, kinda really sucks.
  • I am just wondering how this works. Are they holding back tickets to sell on the date the tickets really go on sale or will this just sell out on the pre-sale?
Yesterday morning when I bought them as I took afew minutes to just decide where I wanted to sit the seats were disappearing as I was deciding.
  • I expect nothing is held back from pre-sale (save a few seats for the press & vips).

Dylan doesn't usually give outdoor shows in locations as accessible to the public as prospect park. I hope the organizers have thought this one through. He'll draw record crowds to the lawn-behind-the-lawn free space.
  • I bought lawn tickets, and am glad to have them. They guy is freaking living legend! Can't wait! I thought blankets were ok on the lawn?
  • Thanks everyone, just bought 2 tickets from pre-sale. Can't wait to see and hear Bob - last time for me was the last Dead tour with Jerry Garcia back in 95 or so at the Meadowlands.
  • Ughhh debates debates. I just sold my tickets for tonight's Cursive show but man, this is still pricey.
  • I just tried and they seem to be gone. Oh well.

Actually, the ticket prices aren't bad considering who we're talking about.
Although it's still a little too rich for my blood. :)
  • Yea they really aren't that terribly priced considering it's Dylan. I guess I was spoiled the last two times I saw him (both times were b-day presents, my friends rule).

More on the concert. Looks like it is Celebrate Brooklyn after all.

5600 pre-sale tix have been sold? How is that possible? How many more will be sold?

Because it's Bob Dylan. Planet = Earth!
  • They plan to stuff 7,000 people into that space!
  • Heh. When I faint from the heat and the excitement in my standing only space, I won't fall down...
  • So who's going?
  • Besides ME, ya mean?
