  • Ha! i used to do that too when I sat in a cube. Now I have a blessed, blessed office. But I'll tell ya, they still ask what's up when they walk in on you laughing. Especially when it's a regular occurrence.

(P.S. This site is wicked slow today.)

Ha! When I first saw the "47" thing (on a different thread) I thought wait...is that...no...

42 is also one of "the numbers" :)

I'm not enough of a geek for either of those numbers to work for me. :) I'll continue to ponder.
  • Are you enough of a geek to figure out your numerology? That should do it! :)

I thought those were just for guys worried about getting raped in prison.

I find that you need to be in the right mood for a funny book... I've got Three Men in a Boat (to Say Nothing of the Dog), just waiting for me to be in the right mood...
  • The book is much better than the movie. It was also, originally, a radio play.

how did you know? getting raped in prison is MY BIGGEST FEAR!
  • Guys, I've been hitting the boards with a lot less frequency. It really frees up time in my work day to ... stare off into space and contemplate this growing stack of papers I was supposed to get through last week.

I'll be at happy hour with a friend who lives on St. Mark's & Carlton. It's time she got baptized into this crowd. She's American, not a visitor to this country and I don't work with her, so feel free to show no mercy.

Oh, nybt, are you trying to do some, like, thug speak or something? How cute!

All I know is that Carnivore rolls mad deep!

    His s**t is whack!

Oh snap. Where he at? He needs to represent.

    (I'm done)
    OK, nybt.

8 pm tomorrow at Brownstone Billiards.
    Air Hockey, pool, table tennis.
Then darts at Mooney's at 10 when everyone else is getting there.

    Bring it, biyatch!
  • Jesus. Here we go again. The rest of the weekend will be a big blur. I should be there around 12:30 for ONE drink. Then I have to go to sleep.
  • Alright, nybt and my showdown will start at Brownstone Billiards at 8:30 and will continue at Mooney's at 10pm. All are welcomed to join and bear witness!

I think that a friend of mine is coming to BB, too, so that makes 3 of us... three sucks- one person has to stand around waiting to play me- uh, the victor of the current match... can at least one more person make it over to the festivities at BB?

    I can pop in. But, I'm sure I won't win a thing...
  • Will anyone be at Mooneys before 10:00
  • stacey wrote: Will anyone be at Mooneys before 10:00
Yeah, right, I'm trying to make 10 past my bedtime.
  • stacey wrote: Will anyone be at Mooneys before 10:00
I might be there closer to 9 but that's kind of up in the air. I thought there was a whole other crew that arrives and departs on the early side. Where are you people?
  • The important question is: can we bring wings into Brownstone Billiards? This could throw off hours worth of planning on my part.
  • Cupcake wrote: The important question is: can we bring wings into Brownstone Billiards? This could throw off hours worth of planning on my part.
No wing juice on the tables, man! :P

Maybe we should just make it official: 8:30 at Brownstone and then 10 at Mooney's, so we can cut down on people feeling abandoned/lost at one place or another.
  • When did "happy hour" become "big night out"? :? I'm not sure I'll be able to do that tonight. Alafairnadia, let me know when you're going to be where and maybe I can get that book to you.
  • EmilyM wrote: When did "happy hour" become "big night out"? :?
    I blame Carnivore.

Went from Happy Hour to the midnight hour it seems. I think I am going to have to skip tonight and sleep to avoid catching a little something I feel coming on. Have fun.

Yeah... it is late and I'm gettin' old- I need to either kick ass in a timely manner or have my ass kicked in a timely manner... and then take my ass to bed!
  • EmilyM wrote: When did "happy hour" become "big night out"? :?
I'm happy to do "happy hour" I just have other plans earlier and was hoping to join people in progress. I don't think other people should be discouraged about coming earlier, I presumed that would be the case actually. :?
