Large Number of White People on Putnam

It is exactly the same trend I am observing on my block. They extended to us their warmest welcome to the neighborhood and have been very helpful in facilitating our integration. Even in Woodside, Queens where we used to live, people were not that friendly. Regardless of our origins, we all want the same thing: a better place to live.
2. More than half of the people on my particular block are black homeowners who are actively gentrifying Bed Stuy. They have a lot more money than I do, are much more excited about good restaurants and wine stores, and actually need amenities like dry cleaners. Their property values are rising, they are picking up trash, collecting photographs of the drug dealers, calling 311 left and right and getting upset over loud music... and they are not "whitey."
Howdy, Stranger!
