Grrr!!! Who stole my flower box? (reward offered!)

I have a lot of experience with stolen flowers! I have learned that if I plant tulips for the spring to make sure that they don't bloom around mother's day. People have been known to cut them from my front garden and give them as bouquets to their mothers. Once I did a large circle with geraniums and the middle was filled with marigolds. The next morning someone had actually dug up all the geraniums! Then there was the lady who I confronted cutting roses off my rose bush. She told me that "G-d made the flowers."

I have learned not to plant anything that is too showey or any identifiable flowers that can be cut.

Flexi.. I think this is a losing battle for you. Whoever stole the boxes is just waiting for you to replace them.

a middle-aged lady touring our community garden last summer stole the little santolina plant (not fancy, showy, or rare; plants just like ours go for $3 at the farmer's market) right out of the ground when we turned our backs.

and i found armchair's young pieris japonica lying on the sidewalk last spring -- someone stole it and dumped it a block later. :scratch: (i potted it up, and he and the plant were happily reunited -- thanks, Brooklynian!)

That is all so uncool.

We had plants out front for the first year we lived here, but got tired of our neighbors using them as ashtrays.

last year some jerk on a bike stole a whole bunch of my plants. sweet tea found one of them . yay


if i'm gonna put new plants, i'm going to lock them down with chicken wire or wires or something. too lazy to fix old ones.

i lost a few rose bushes in the front and few other nice plants. now i just use uglier plants that nobody wants to steal LOL.

Ok, now I feel better.. It is not just my garden that is the victim.. It is a PS epidemic and everyone has a war story!
