Once again i went to Black Sheep Pub(428 bergen street) for the champions league final last week and again this place proved to be one of the best places to watch live soccer games;projection tv, awesome crowd, good food. they will show all of the EUROCUP 2008 games, which starts this saturday(JUNE 7TH).

  • I'd be willing to bet Sheep Station on 4th would be a great place too (and with better food--Poutine!).
  • Toby's Public House shows lots of matches. I'm guessing they'd have Eurocup...and they have food

  • Don't want to sound cynical, but soccer1 only has two posts, and they are both praises for Black Sheep Pub. Both sound like advertisements.
  • Noticed that, and yet it gave us an opportunity to point out that there are other places to watch the games...
  • Retag, it doesn't seem to me that you have much to criticize, given that you have only posted 5 times, and FYI, it seems that soccer1 has posted about other local businesses as well.
  • Actually, I have to agree Sheep Station is a great place and it is always packed when they show soccer. By the way i have never been in there either when they show soccer just ahve driven by and it was pretty much standing room only.
  • AJi BAr Lounge...
EuroCup 2008.... South American world cup qualifier match....
    Tonight Mexico vs. Argentina...
    Sunday Mexico VS. Peru

This Saturday watch the UFC 85...
    BUd Light 2 bucks
    great people and great food.

  • Black Sheep, Sheep Station, 200 Fifth (probably), Cherry Tree (maybe), Bar Reis (sp?)... maybe Lighthouse.

I love all these bars (except Cherry Tree - haven't been yet), and maybe I'm asking for too much here, but I'm trying to think of a place to sit outside and watch the games. I think it is supposed to be nice on Saturday.

I know at Lighthouse you can sometimes see the tv in the back room from some of the outdoor tables, but it's not the most ideal way to watch games. I also know that the beer garden in Astoria set up a huge tv outside for World Cup, but I'm not sure I want to trek out to Queens.

Does anyone know of a place in Brooklyn that has tvs that can be watched on an outdoor patio?

You are correct, a person's ability to criticize is directly proportional to the amount of posts made on anonymous internet forums.

Only after spending hours on virtual forums talking to someone who might live down the block from you can you correctly identify and criticize spam posts. From now on I will be training in forums, increasing my post count, so that I can finally learn and master the art of criticism.

BTW, I have been watching a few of the weekend games, especially the Czech ones at Eurotrip on 5th ave. Not many Czech fans were there, but plenty of soccer fans in general. The bar area was packed during the Czech-Turkey game. Everyone was in shock at the ending!
