7th avenue Slope Festival?

This Sunday! From 15th all the way to Flatbush. Like a "street fair" but more fun!

It's fun and has a lot of good stuff, but like the 5th ave street fair, it has a lot of chincy shit that belongs in a dollar store and takes away from the Park Slope feel of the street fair. Anyway, it's still fun and I'll be going :-)

At least in the past the 7th Ave Fair is a lot more interesting than the one on 5th Ave. If you like it even more crowded on 7th Ave. than a normal Sunday then this event is for you.

I just like walking down the middle of the street...

More cheapo socks and deep-fried food?

There's a lot of local stuff too...

Is there beer at the 7th Avenue? I love walking with a beer down the middle of the street (legally for a change) like I can do at the 5th Ave. Fair but then there are more bars/restaurants that serve on Fifth.

MMMMMM.... roasted corn on the cob with a funnel cake chaser....

7th Heaven is this Sunday? Oh right, yeah-they always do it on Father's Day-cool

Bah I'll be gone most of the day. Does this fest last longer than the 5th ave one (i.e. into the evening at all?)

I think 7th Heaven sucks. 5th avenue fair is much better. It's good if you want mops, socks and corn on every corner.

It usually ends at 6pm.

Geez, Sat. Gay Pride and Sunday 7th Heaven. Good time to go away.

Music is now being set up - but a huge storm seems to be moving in so I came home - but I came with 2 unbelievably good empanadas from the Chilies and Chocolate stand that's set-up on 1st - chorizo and Oaxacan cheese inside, guac on the outside and for dipping a tartare sauce kinda thing. YUMMY! 2 for $5.00
