Celebrate Brooklyn...sober?

If you were talking about smuggling something into the movies or a baseball game...sure. In this instance though, I think it's wrong. Celebrate Brooklyn costs is free! or practically free if you pay the $3.00 donation. Shoot, becoming a friend of CB costs next to nothing. Support the vendors that are supporting Celebrate Brooklyn.

Steve.. I get what you are saying but I remember not so long ago these concerts were free and that damn fence was not there. Back then everyone brought picnic dinners and whatever beverages they wanted to bring. I remember bringing my two maltese dogs and sitting in the chairs and no one said boo... the litle guys love Shakspeare and I made them re read the play before we attended. I can't quote chapter and verse on this one but from what I understand this series is endowed well. It is nice that local vendors make some money on food and beverage but these vendors are already sucessful businesses and will not be broken if they were not permitted to sell at the events or if their profit was cut because people were allowed to bring in food. Yeah, yeah.. I am lamenting the "old" PS and the old Brooklyn.

I'm all for supporting people- especially when it's a daughter of a friend who sneaks us down to VIP for Angelique Kidjo!!!!!!!

I'd say it's about 10 years since the fence went up? I'm pretty sure people are allowed to bring in food just not beer, liquor or wine, right? I'm not sure how well endowed CB or Bric is, but considering they ask for so little up front, I think we can show them the respect of not sneaking booze over the tiny fence. If you want to drink your own booze, watch from outside. Most people going to these things can afford the little bit extra it costs.
