what i meant to say was:

i have a sudden, unpredicted need for about 7X20" of grass* -- wheatgrass seems the easiest to get, but can you buy one piece of sod?

i need it today, or i'd grow it myself.

any idea where i could buy some? i have a car.

    *artists. go figure.

  • You could try calling Back to the Land and see where they get theirs from - or if they have enough that you could buy.... (718) 768-5654)

  • Yeah, I know that feeling. It's 8am and you just got to get your hands on some grass, man. Totally.

  • If you could just use any sort of grass, try Kings County Nursuries on New York Avenue. You should be able to pick up a 7x20 piece of sod from them easily. I'd call first to make sure they have what you need.

thank you! this place was great.

they were technically only selling 10'x10' pieces, but they had some scraps in the back and sold us a foot or so for dirt (sorry) cheap.

picked up some basil plants, too.

Too bad I didn't see this until now. You were within a block of one of the absolute best sandwich shops around- Mama Louisa's (at 609 New York Ave). Next time, get lunch while you're there!
