    I don't think two words that aren't attacking anyone counts as trolling. It's pretty pointless, sure, but the only thing we've ever banned IPs for is rampant personal attacks. If saying "Ratner Rules" offends you so badly, how do you survive on the Internet?

    As for banning anons altogether, this was discussed a lot already--just search for it using the link above.

    It's trolling because it's designed to take away from actual discussion of the topic. If the guest said more than his two words (or even "change is good") and came in with concrete ideas, that would be different. As it is, look at the number of posts this person has made with the same drop in, incite, drop out kind of messages.

    The words themselves don't offend me. The idea of screwing with a community just because you can offends me very much. That's called fucking with people, and it's not defensible.

    Emily, this kind of thing once is not trolling, but go around to some other threads and this anon poster has been posting that and other things like it (Tish Sucks, Marty's Great) all over the place. thats trolling.

    That seems more like spamming to me. In any case, I'm not sure how we would handle banning this person's IP, since they share it with a legitimate poster.
