Selling bottled water at stop lights...

This has been going on for years. They usually sell a bottle for a dollar. I haven't a clue to what their mark up is.

been seeing them and adults doing it forever since bottle water came out.

Just FYI there are literally TONS of stuff that don't make sense to me. Like loading the Staten Island ferry from the top deck only. You are allowed to use both to get off. You can load on the bottom deck if you have a disability or a bike. When the escalators were broke, you could load on both decks. It makes _so_ much more sense than the cattle crush at the top.

Anyways. People are weird. Buy some water. Chill out. And I've noticed they've started charging $2 in some locations now. FWIW.

someone check to see how much costco or bj's sell them in bulk. then do the numbers. how much they make.

I think its 8 bucks for a case of 24 bottles. On a truly hot day you can easily sell 3-4 cases in a couple of hours.

I heard the woman who works near Union Square in the city has bought a car with her money and is putting her daughter through college. That is what one of the other street vendors told me.
