Recommendation needed for repairs to house.

Can someone please recommend someone who is reliable and does good work to repair the outer foundation of a brownstone? I need someone experienced in masonry work and lately my experiences with contractors of any kind have been horrible.They either dont do the job contracted for or start and dont finish or simply disappear after a payment. ANy suggestions or recommendations is so appreciated. Thanks.

Abedin is reliable, affordable and does good work to repair the outer foundation of a brownstone. He has done work in Bed-Stuy on several brownstones on Putnam Ave. Z. Abedin and his workers are very respectful of your home when hire to do interior painting and work.

FYI: Z. Abedin gets the majority of his contracting work by word of mouth because his work is good and he usually has the best price on the table!

There ia also a general contractor that I highly recommend for brownstone apartment buildings or brownstone major property interior renovations... interior walls demo, drywall, plastering, carpentry, termite wood demo and wood beams re-placement. His interior work is excellent. He is affordable, too. He is a fair guy on small jobs.

You should search the forum on Brownstoner for answers--there's a lot of good info there (or you can post your question again). Not sure Abedin would be at the top of everyone's list.

Roy Dennis 718-272-4231 did my front steps, and recommended some other guy to repoint my brick when he was too busy. Roy had a city license I think. I liked them both (and can't find the name of the second guy...)

Personally, I'm more concerned with good recommendations than licensing, although I guess you have a better recourse if there's problems when you go with a licensed contractor.

I recommended Z. Abedin because I know the quality of his work. Z. Abedin is a licensed and insured contractor in Brooklyn New York for over 20 years. He can give referrences and testimonials from many satisfied homeowners in the Bed - Stuy area. He has done several homes in the last 2 years on Jefferson and Putnam Ave.

Abedin's work speaks for him. People see how a brownstone property looks before, while and after he is finish. His work is all referrals.

I have my own reputation to consider so I would only refer someone that I know would do quality work. Now if you know of a good reason not to recommended Z. Abedin-- state it. But don't throw a shadow about him or overlook my comments and the other forum comments here that took the time to make a recommendation to Arlette.
