Is cheese on hot dogs weird? My mom always used to make broiled hot dogs with a layer of mashed potatoes on top of the hot dogs and a layer of cheese on top of the mashed potatoes. It puts you right to sleep. -

We used to get those nasty hot dogs with the cheese built in. The microwave would make the embedded cheese go nuclear.
I used to make a hot dog sandwich, where I would take two cooked hotdogs and slice them in half lengthwise and in the middle. Then put them between bread with a slice of cheese.
Burger King currently has some steak sandwich burger thing that they put onions, jack cheese, and "mashed potatoes" on. -

Not at all. I love bacon and cheese on my dogs as a matter of course. I was making fun of her love of Nathan's and Hebrew National. One rule of being kosher means no milk served with beef. -

You have to get the "loaded" version. And it is definitely some sort of potato-like substance. -

hot sauce and pizza
french fries with honey mustard or mayo -

Dude , I'm not kosher.
Kosher is just something that I eat , but it's not all I eat.
Those Hebrew Nationals are the bomb diggity , baby!
I'm on a diet starting today , so no more potato rolls or hot dogs for a little while.

Flexi, I cannot believe you don't like mayo.......... not even French mayo? yuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuum.
rice and ketchup sounds like your fridge is empty and it's time to hit the grocery store! I remember one meal I was served at a frend's house in France - pasta with ketchup. I thought that was pretty weird. My american friend though was in heaven, given his penchant for ketchup sandwiches.
I like sweet/salty combos like fruit and cheese, garlic and berries, caramel and nuts........... where did I just recently see a recipe for sea salt sugar cookies? That sounds awesome.
But let's not go too far. Hot dog buns and ketchup is nothin....... at a fancy dinner one night they served me aspargus ice cream over strawberry clafoutis. It was odd. Deranged more like. -

blech on the mayo, no matter the country of origin!
rice and ketchup needs a bit of garlic in it too ....hmmmm.
I just got home from 3 days of pure gluttony. I hope I've hit the bottom and can now get my act together :-) -

Ooh..no..you di'n't!
You can talk all you want about Miracle Whip though. I don't like "the tangy zip". -
my eyes! my eyes!

I once watched a drunk guy eat a jar of mayo at a bar for one night of free drinks (had to be the same night as he ate the mayo).

Mmm...I once made molasses sugar cookies and ended up putting salt on top instead of sugar before baking (someone had replaced the sugar in my sugar shaker with salt!). They were strangely addictive. One friend said they made him crave margaritas.

Anyway- Carnivore, did you see on Brownstoner that Applewood is doing bacon ice cream? -
