  • Work a bit less, play a bit more.

Take more pictures, go for more bike rides, BBQ as often as possible, finally join the PP drum circle at least once.

  • trying desperately to finish decorating my apt since we have lived there a year and it doesn't feel like home yet. heading to Niagara Falls for 1 day of cheesy touristing and 1 day of Underground Railroad history tour to balance out the cheese. Hoping to spend some more time with friends I'm too busy to see during busy work times.

  • If you've got the time, Jane, check out some of the wineries on the Canada side of Niagara Falls. They've really mastered the wine tourism thing up there. Great food, pretty wineries, decent wine...just drive toward Niagara on the Lake and you'll see 'em.

  • If you're driving, take a detour to Seneca Falls, and visit the museum of the women's suffrage movement. It's quite remarkable!

Will they, like, bite my head off if I roll up with a snare drum and sticks (for mostly rudimental/roll-based stuff, nothing ridiculously load and obnoxious)? I saw a few guys there with a full kit of sorts (set up to play while standing, so minus the bass), so I'm thinking it can't be that bad... but as if it isn't hard enough already for me to do anything like that in the company of others, I don't want to piss everyone off as the new guy.. :)

A while back We did that Niagra Falls thing and yes it seems cheesy but the MAGESTY of the Falls is overwhelming and stay at one of those motels in the area.. cheap rates and will make you feel like you are doing something illicit even if you ahve been married for 30 years!

  • My summer plans wrapped up on Sunday- I spent 10 days in Socal (long beach, san pedro and west hollywood to be exact) and three of those 10 were spent in vegas. It was amazing and I have a kickin tan and also impending liver failure and a $1k deficit in my bank account.

  • I just came back from Vieques and am going camping in Lake George for a few weeks...

than off to visit my parents in West Palm Beach...

maybe a quick weekend trip... love my Summer Fridays!

otherwise I am just hitting up every free concert in Brooklyn, BBQs and just relaxing on the porch...

  • I'm biking on the weekdays, motorbiking on the weekends, and all the downtime in between is work or spending some quality time with grey goose+seltzer+lime at a random outdoor location.
