They have various plans and often the phone people have no fucking clue what they are talking about. They won't always honor the 100-mile thingy, but they will generally do a 5-mile motorcycle tow with supervisor approval or whatever. FWIW. You have to yell at them a lot. And there are other companies that do the same sort of thing that don't give that sort of hassle on motorcycles.

i've tried a number of times over the last ten years both upstate and in the city and i have NEVER been able to get AAA to tow a bike. they have always made it very clear that they just don't offer that service. i guess i'll have to bitch a lot next time and maybe i'll get lucky but i'm pretty sure that my contract explicitly states no mc.

armchair -- that is great to know. i've used you guys for furniture moves and was very pleased.

Maybe not everyone can afford or has any desire to have a gas guzzling SUV so why don't you keep your scooter condescending comments to yourself.
Why don't we stop to ask ourselves what's worse - someone "whining about other people's business,' or someone whining about someone "whining about other people's business"... hmm...

And what's up with that "Latin Kings" avatar - Amor Del Rey!! lol
  • Latin kings? i thought it was the Rock! lol
  • I was actually going for grand theft auto billboard-esk illustration style. I know who the rock is, and I can see that now, lol, but what the hell is a latin king?
  • go ask any vato on 5th avenue and 43rd street.
  • thanks yoda, sounds like too much effort for a definition so I just wikipedia'd it:

Latin kings or Latin Kings may refer to:

    * Latin Kings (gang), a street gang
    * Latin kings of Alba Longa, series of legendary kings of Alba Longa, in Latium
    * The Latin Kings, a Swedish hip hop group
    * The Original Latin Kings of Comedy

I'm of course assuming he meant number 3.

I just looked it up and it turns out someone whining about someone whining about someone whining about other peoples' business is the worst.

Sorry, but I'm someone who thinks its not good idea to push a 250lb scooter 3 miles to the closest Vespa dealer, nor would I post just to make fun of someone and their choice of transportation who is probably just taking advantage of their warranty.

As far as my avatar, I'm sorry that you think something about it labels me as a Swedish Hip hop star.
  • well, i'm sorry if you don't see the bigger picture. you don't know why the person didn't push it and why do you really care if they did? and for the record, pushing a vespa 3 miles is not an easy or safe task regardless of how strong you think you are.
and it's not a swedish hip hop star they are referring to...the Latin Kings are a terrible street GANG...and that's not a compliment.
