THE HAMILTON DOG HOUSE, an Adoption Facility and Pet Supply Store, is having its GRAND OPENING EVENT on July 12th, 12 noon until 5pm.

Food, Games, & Prizes!
Free treats for 4-legged friends!
Hot dogs and hamburgers for a $2 donation! Proceeds will benefit the Sean Casey Animal Rescue.

    It's on East 3rd street, right off Fort Hamilton Parkway.

    I buy all my cat food and pet food supplies from them. This is a great business and a good community anchor. Only problem is that it is SO crowded in there it is sometimes hard to just run in and buy something. EVERY animal lover in Brooklyn likes to hang out there or come in and get dogs to take for a walk.

    Some friends from out of state were visiting us in Manhattan and were missing their dog -- they were envious of the many New Yorkers who they saw walking dogs. They said, There should be a place that will rent a dog to lonely out-of-state tourists who are missing their dog.

    And we were all, Hah hah, what a ridiculous idea. That's too ridiculous even for New York...

    And then a few months later, we saw an article about just such a service.

    The adoption facility is right next door at 153 East 3rd (and connects inside to the store).

    The people who are walking the dogs are volunteers. More volunteers are welcome!
