Series includes New York premieres of White Lies, Black Sheep (James Spooner, 2007) and I'm Through with White Girls (Jennifer Sharp, 2007), and rare screenings of Passing Through (Larry Clark, 1977) and Up Tight! (Jules Dassin, 1968)
Special guest appearances by filmmakers Larry Clark, Ethan Higbee, Adam Bhala Lough, James Spooner, and Jennifer Sharp
From July 4-9 BAMcinématek, the repertory film program at BAM Rose Cinemas, presents Afro-Punk Festival. The festival returns to BAM for the fourth year in a row with six days of films centered on the concept of black rebellion and change, including narrative features, documentaries, and shorts.
