video edge becomes t mobile

these cell phone stores don't pop up on every corner to sell phones. that's just a sideline. it's my understanding that places like this open basically as advertising for the brand.
every person who walks out of the Q train will now have one more t mobile sign imprinted on their brain. next time they get into a fight with their sprint customer service rep, they'll think back...
this is how the game is played.
sucks, but there it is. -
I used to have t mobile. it sucked. cingular is where its at if you want gsm coverage (which I do, considering my upcoming hiatus to south america)

my heart sank when i saw that sign, but at least it's an actual outlet and not that awful Mojo AT&T shop on Flatbush with the guy who'll hand you a flyer, tell you to come see him for anything, and then try to hand you that flyer again 10 seconds later. i hate that guy.

If it makes you feel better, t-mobile might not be around too long thanks to the at@t/cingular exclusive on the iphone 3G. I'm ditching tmo soon after July 11, I imagine a number of other people who aren't binded by a contract will too.
RIP TMOBILE. -
I have stepped foot in a cell phone store maybe 4 times in my entire life, and mostly back when they had those "Sprint PCS" stores you had to go to, to pay your bill. I do all my cell business online, and I always thought everyone else did too.
The other times I wandered into a current cell phone store, there was always some shady Russian or gypsy sitting behind the counter who looked like he'd steal my fingers if I shook his hand.
I would really love to know who is giving these places all this business, there are literally dozens of them in the neighborhood, many taking up some major, premium-priced commercial real estate. -

That's some seriously expensive advertising. Not to mention, the vast majority of these cell phone stores aren't even run by the companies themselves, but rather by people doing business on their behalf... so I fail to see how what you're saying is true.
