Subject: Called Sanders Theatre then
The Pavilion was known as the Sanders back when it was abandoned in 1978. I remember when the "condos coming soon" sign hung on it for years, getting more and more tattered. Unfortunately, no photo. But here's a picture of the Sanders in happier days.

As I remember one of the reasons that Condo project never happened was the developer couldn't get air rights so there couldn't be windows created on the sides of the building. If that didn't happen even the most creative architect in the world couldn't design apartments with that building.
