Hi Ellis,

The problem is that there is a very clearly-designated forum (the classifieds) for event announcements like this, and the regulars here don't like it when someone posts the same message on every forum -- they consider it to be spam and, as you probably now can tell, it really irritates people.

Had you just posted once in the classifieds forum this wouldn't have happened. By posting the same message in every forum, and then by not taking the hint when they were removed by board moderators, you've managed to alienate some of your potential audience.

I actually think the show sounds really interesting, and wish you luck with it. But you might want to try to get some sense of what the conventions and requirements are on any message forum you try to use for publicizing your stuff in the future before jumping in, to avoid this kind of thing in the future.

Re: your question in another thread about having boards for CG and Cobble Hill, Andy started a board for Boerum Hill at somebody's request, so you never know, he might just do it.

Maybe he can just expand the Boerum Hill board to a BOCOCA board. :P

i've seen your works on the streets of brooklyn and was intrgued when i first saw it. but then i read the press you got and even saw your little entourage follow you around like a little sheep. and started to wonder. now i see this and my decision is clear. you're a self-centered jerk. and that's even compared to other street are ego heads.

it's enough already g. just get over yourself. i'm happy you have a show, but the idea that you're coming to a small community based site and telling people what to do and showing no respect for the owners is pathetic. why should they expand the board to the carroll gardens area? nobody reads or posts to the boerum hill area compared to other places.

Unfortunately, the "razz" icon just looks like a particularly cheerful smiley face. This one seems a little clearer to me: :idea: ( )

I think BoCoCa is a stupid term, but it's not a bad idea to have it include those areas. Might perk that board up a bit.

As for the anon guest, you know, no name-calling and all that. I'm glad you care so much about the board but it doesn't seem like you've posted before...?
