I'm going to borrow from myself a little on what I sent Caseopele...

Squeaker Kitty seems to be doing pretty good. He mostly
hides, but he doesn't cringe from me or any of the kids. I got him
playing with some yarn a few times. He is eating good. He prefers the
older kids, but he doesn't seem so averse to the little ones. He will
let them pet him without pulling away or anything. I think the sheer
number of people intimidates him, but he doesn't flee so much, as just
try to stay out of the open and in a "hidey" spot when they are all
    around.

He jumped up into the lap of my fourteen year old at about one in the
morning when he was playing video games, every one else was asleep. As
it turned out, Squeaker more wanted to try a snake a piece of grilled
chicken off the pizza the boy had sitting in front of him than sit in
his lap, but still, it seems like a step forward.

On Sunday, I dropped the fourteen year old off at a friend's and took
the two little guys to a movie, so my twelve year old was home alone.
Squeakers came out in force then two, and rubbed all over his feet and
    stuff, demanding to be petted.

I haven't caught the two cats being overly friendly to each other again,
but they haven't shown each other any antipathy either. They share a
couple favorite sleeping spots that they seem to be trading off.

Adding yesterday to this... He was all over the place last night. No hiding at all. Sometimes for pettings, sometimes for goofing. He did some playing. My Nino Kitty was a bit perplexed, and investigated Squeaker's pointless activities. No hissing. No nothing. They just seem comfortable with each other. Not lovey dovey or anything, but they will brush past each other without issue. Squeakers continues to be the clumiest cat ever. He likes to wake up about three in the morning and knock stuff over. Pretty funny stuff. He was all lovey this morning with me, I didn't want to head out for work. He kept rolling over on his back, wanting me to grab his belly. But when I grabbed his belly, he wanted to grab my arm and play with it with his claws. Not OK! Ow! Silly kitty. I'm thinking on stopping on the way home for some toys like the stuffed socks (OK, I suppose I could just make that) so that he can roll over and maul them as is his wont.

And I suck at taking pictures. I swear I will sooner or later.

    Probably later.

  • This makes my little heart happy :-)

    (although pictures would be great)

I'm so glad you took him in and that Nino is amused by him and that he's a big old lover boy so quickly.
  • Yay Squeakies and daver! I can't believe you got the belly so soon, I must have softened him up for you. You definitely need to get him something to disembowel, he loves doing that and it'll be much less painful for you. Thanks for the updates, I'm so glad he's settling in so well!
  • I is ebil kitty!

  • Ooooh. Look at the belly. I want to keeees it!

He does look happy. How is Nino doing? Have you caught them being lovey again?

I'm so glad you both (Caseo and Daver) took care of this special little guy
