Sidewalk eruption on Underhill and Park
Back in February, we at Daily Heights reported that a rogue snow plow had taken out a big tree at the corner of Underhill Ave. and Park Place. See what city services hath wrought:

Well, now it's November, and it's still not fixed. There's a community meeting tonight (Wed. Nov. 16, 301 Park Place, Parlor Floor) where people will discuss solutions to this issue that the city has yet to fix. From the newsletter of the Park Place/Underhill Ave. Block Association:
"Are you Tired of that Sidewalk Eruption on Underhill & Park?
"We will discuss this and create a plan to fix it. If you have any other concerns relating to the quality of life on our blocks, bring them to the meeting. Our association exists to improve the neighborhood."
Also on the agenda: All about Ratner and You.

I just called 311 on this. They re-entered the work order, but claim that priority is given to high-traffic areas and public safety hazards over merely unsightly stuff. If it's not taken care of in 30 days, someone can call it in again...

What time is the meeting?
-
Sorry. 8 PM.

Just want to clarify, out of consideration to my neighbor hosting the meeting - the Park Place/Underhill Avenue Block Association is just for residents of the association. If you live on Park (between Underhill and Washington) or Underhill (between Prospect and Sterling), you should receive the monthly newsletter in your mailbox or under your stoop. If you live in a multi-family dwelling, another resident may have beat you to it (i.e. it's in the trash already).
The meetings are held the third Wednesday of the month. Newsletters are delivered the week before. -
What about people that belong to the NYPD or othe city agencies, are the invited to come to the meetings?

The flyer I have says:
"Everyone living on Park Place btwn Vanderbilt and Washington or Underhill btwn Prospect and Sterling is welcome to attend these meetings."
Howdy, Stranger!
