  • Yeah, I never had problems in Manhattan either. This is definitely an outer boroughs complaint.

    Yeah it should! For real.

Nice thought, but everyone in my building seems to do this (everyone also seems to get a LOT of wrong mail!) and sometimes letters will sit propped up on the mailboxes with "DOES NOT LIVE HERE" written on them for days, eventually get knocked down and stepped on, and finally disappear...I assume thrown away by the guy who comes to mop the entryway and halls on Saturdays.

Yeah, what's up with that? A few pieces of mail should fit quite comfortably in my box and yet everything is jammed up in there. I was particularly peeved by my smooshed birthday cards last month. I mean come on.

don't get me started on the netflix that are always almost broken in my box.
  • Subject: mayhem

had to request the manager to look for the package, 4 people "in charge" later until someone finally found it...

tried to apply for a p.o.box but they could not understand the concept of holding on to the paperwork & contacting us when a box became available. i heard the manager say to the person at the window, "why don't we do that?" and the worker replied, "well, we have never done that before" - manger: "so why not do it now?" worker, "we would probably just lose it."

atleast she was honest, i guess... now i am supposed to call everyday until someone knows something. i think i am going to check out the post office in park slope...
  • Someone just mailed me some extremely important forms, and this thread is making me extremely paranoid that I'm not going to get it! That's one thing I definitely won't miss.
