Where to hang out in Fort Green
Hey Ya'll,
I've been living in Bed Stuy for the past year, but I've been hanging out in Fort Green for a few years. I haven't gone out in Fort Greene for a while and I went out last night with a few friends who are from outside of Brooklyn. I was surprised to see how dead it was in Fort Greene around 12:00/1:00am. We went by Moe's (which has never been my favorite place to hang out) and it was the same old Moe's crowd. Habana Outpost was closed. I know they shut down the reggae nights at Red Bamboo a while back, but we walked over there anyway just to see if anything was going on; it was dead there too. There was no music or anything going on at Madiba either... what's happening in Fort Greene these days? I was really dissapointed at how dead it was on a Saturday night
Have some new spots opened up that I'm not aware of? Maybe it was just really dead b/c of the holiday weekend? Maybe I just need to continue trekking over to Prospect Heights/Crown Heights for my weekend fun? :?

Also not quite Ft Greene, I've had fun at Sputnik on the weekends.

I think it is going to be very hard to find really active establishments at night in Fort Greene after midnight, no matter what day of the week. I am not sure if Frank's still has a dance night, but you could try there. Maybe the Myrtle Avenue side has more then Fulton or Dekalb that time of night.
Howdy, Stranger!
