What kind of girl....

Recent cat convert - I used to be allergic but longhairs for some reason are fine with me. The only problem is, the hair gets EVERYWHERE. Clothes, the furniture, everything. I pet her and my hand comes away furry. But this summer we shaved her so we don't have to deal with that right now. She is a great, chill cat. I didn't want her at first but she has started to grow on me. Now when I see those cat adoption booths I want to take them all home.

I just know you can't be serious, right?!?!  -
i dont like cats [allergic], but i still let my dog have one. and they enjoy each other immensely, which makes it worth the hypocracy. plus, having one even though i dont swoon for them makes me less of a lesbian pariah. you just try to get a date in this town if you are a cat-ambivalent dyke

I met someone who HATES cats. When I asked why she said that a cat ran into her apartment, refused to leave and then attacked her when she tried to capture it. She ended up having to get two guys to come in and trap it and remove it after two days.
She's hated cats ever since. -
I love cats. however, I have several good, female friends (and you know at least one of the WYW) who are either ambivalent to cats, dislike cats, or just don't understand the point of pet ownership. I think a lot of it is how you grow up. I grew up with at least one cat always in the house, so I am almost uncomfortable in places where there isn't some half-loving half-snarly beast slinking about.
I can't figure out snakes, though. especially those albino ones. reptiles in general, really. icky. and my outdoor cat in miami (junkyard, we called him) would hunt giant lizards. awesome. of course, he left them on the back porch ...
also, I think cats are extremely low maintenance. they don't need to be walked, you can leave them for a weekend if you leave like tons of water bowls and food dishes everywhere, and for the most part, do not demand that you pay attention to them all of the time (which I've found with dogs).
oh, I also think fish are kinda grody. I mean, I'm not a hater, but still. icky pooh.
Howdy, Stranger!
