I always see the busses at the base of the Manhattan bridge heading in Brooklyn. You ahve seen them Carmen they are the doubledekcer bus where the top half is open and they tell you about the sites you pass. You can get off anywhere....i think and jump back on anywhere and any bus...i think. Not sure about that. But it looks like a cool way to get to know the city and something to do on a day off.

Hey you! Thanks for that link. I got my guests coming this Friday and they want me to make an itinerary for the 8 days they are here. I haven't even started on the damn thing .I'll make them hop on that bus-but no hoping off! They have to stay on that shit.

LOL! If you really have to put together an itinerary - look through Trip Advisor's NYC Forum...

Awesome! I am gonna start on that itinerary tonight. Alot of great ideas on that website.
Thank you so much. :bounce: -
I did one of those when I had guests because one of them was injured and couldn't walk. We did the uptown loop (and had a great tour guide - he was an aspiring actor). Unfortunately when we did the downtown loop, the guide was awful. We never did the Brooklyn loop...just took the subway home.
But...the whole thing wasn't as bad as I thought it would be...I believe that the ticket is good for 2 days. -
Em26, you might also want to check out /http://www.coachusa.com/nycducks.
I've done the Duck Tours in Boston and DC, and they're actually fairly enjoyable and informative (as well as unusual). -
Grrr...I hate those buses. They always hold up traffic on the bridges with their creeping along so people can appreciate the view.

I just feel like I'm on display when they drive by.
Look! New Yorkers in their natural habitat! -

Thank you. That looks fun. The bus looks kind of dorky ,lol, but the water ride would be worth the embarrassment. Plus , I'm sure my nephew would like the whole ducks on a bus theme.
