Al Gore is still awesome

I encourage everyone to either read or watch the prize. this is the book/pbs series I've been blithering about. re: oil and wars and yeah. we watched it in high school during the first gulf war - obviously my civics teacher was a commie - and I just ... bought it. and seriously, take one look and the shit is straight up, right on, 100% yes. the book is also amazing (I'm one of those psychos that can't watch a movie if I haven't read the the book. in this case, I was forced to do things the opposite way which I think I made me appreciate the mini series more but whatever - nuts either way)

and when you read/see this and then see what's come since ... it all makes sense. I mean, this is just a fucking continuation of russian army attrition (that was my favorite ep) -- now the attrition is pointed squarely at the dumbasses with giant trucks. let's roll. not.

oh. yeah. al gore, awesome. his book blew, though.
