  • Since I'm talking to myself, it seems this is Phoebe Snow (I had no idea what she looked like). I still want to know why she's so happy and what is on her wrist.
  • somewhere i have a CD of phoebe snow from about 10 years ago, new stuff, good stuff. or maybe if was roberta flack. i have no idea where that cd is
  • Maybe I'm being a little over sensitive, as a parent of disabled children, and I'm pretty sure you're ignorant of the fact that Phoebe Snow gave up her career to take care of her disabled child who died in 2007 but I find your attitude a little condescending. No doubt you expected to start some smart ass thread with people writing clever captions for said photo.
  • you're really kidding. you have to be kidding. flexi wanted to know who the woman was, and asked if she'd found jesus. that's funny.

her last album was amazing. that's not funny but true.

sadly i won't be around to continue this thread, as i'm hading off for a day of berry picking in the garden state
  • You know something your right. Its hilarious. That Phoebe Snow could be so ignorant to find some solace in Jesus. How stupid of her. It was not an honest question. It was self serving and intended to show Flexi's attitude toward people who "find" Jesus in hopes of starting a clever and condescending thread. To think otherwise is naive.
  • XOXO Modsquad. You look like you need a hug
  • count me in with the ignorami. had no idea who that was. sorry.

At least I'm in good company!
  • Fair enough. I'll take the hug as long as you don't burst my colostomy bag.
  • I still don't know who the hell Phoebe Snow is...
  • Is it just the perspective, or does she not have any fingers on her right hand?
  • modsquad wrote: Maybe I'm being a little over sensitive...
    Yes.
  • phoebe snow sang "poetry man"

Clearly you are insensitive to people with no fingers on their right hands. What is wrong with you people?
  • personally, i'm insensitive to people without fingers on their left hands

Now you're just being mean
  • well, everyone knows i'm mean. this should not be news.
  • Perhaps if Ms. Snow spoke out against illegal undeclared wars, modsquad would find it ok to have a joke at her expense.
  • Okay, so here's the photo's page on Flickr:
    http://www.flickr.com/photos/mrsumisu/2678876846/

It was taken at a concert in Brooklyn, and the photographer added a "Brooklynian" tag, which automatically adds it to the pool of photos from which these are taken. It's been noted before that Flickr's randomization doesn't work all that well, which would explain why this one has come up so often lately.

If you're curious about a particular photo, you can always just click on any of those photos to go to the Flickr page for each one, where you can read the captions and keywords and so on.
