Other than preaching to the converted, is there some point in listening to this pedophile.

Presumably you're accusing him of ephebophilia or hebephilia, not pedophilia. Arrested but never charged with anything. Guilty until proven innocent, eh? -
Same goes for all his meandering accusations. Guilty until proven innocent eh?

Could you be more specific? He's pretty clear about his accusations, and all seem substantiated by his direct personal experience in Iraq. Have you served in Iraq? -
I don't see the point of posting this video. I watched it and heard nothing new. Ritter is hardly the exemplary witness needed to prove beyond a shadow of a doubt war crimes in a court of law, here or in The Hague. I have no problem with many of the things Ritter says. Does he have an agenda? Yes I think so. Is his honesty suspect? Yes. The fact that you posted this video without some explanation proves you are ignorant or a shill.

Easy with the name calling- read the rules.
The video does not address war crimes at all. It's about the hypocritical sanctimoneous war-boosters who talk a big game about supporting the troops, but when it comes down to it the extent of their "support" is a bumper sticker. Unless you can articulate how his "agenda" impacts this point or what specifically he's being dishonest about in the video, your argument is nothing but an ad hominem attack (and your attack on me, nothing but name-calling).

Why is calling you ignorant or a shill name calling? I didn't say you were STUPID, just ignorant. Maybe shill is a little "harsh". Let's say you're a promoter. me thinks you need a thicker skin however. Nice graph though. I'm substituting food groups into it with my kids tomorrow.

If your argument had any substance, you'd be able to address the actual issues raised by the video rather than posting definitions that we all know. Surely an intelligent person would be capable of more than that.

You know what I object to? It's boring. It reminds me of going to church and just sitting or kneeling and saying amen at the right time. What issue do you want to discuss? Is war bad? Let me think about it, I'll get back to you. Are people with ribbons supporting or not supporting the troops? Are they "hypocritical sanctimoneous war-boosters who talk a big game about supporting the troops" Maybe, who knows. This is not new, this is human nature. Read Whitman's annoyance with the stories returning veterans from the Civil War told. Maybe I missed something. What does Ritter bring to the table that's new?

Nothing entirely novel to the table, and he's hardly as relevant as he once was, but Ritter has an interesting story and I enjoyed the clip.

It's certainly more substantive and novel than any of your 16 posts here so far. Your umbrage taken seems far out of proportion for something that you just found "boring". In fact, it seems like perhaps you're the one with the agenda, and are either ignorant or a shill for the Bush-Cheney war machine. -

...and putting meaningless stickers on one's car like all the other sheeple, right? -
Jeffrey, I like how you completed Carnivore's post. Are you 2 married? Ritter showed some courage early on, but has been marginalized as of late to the point that he needs corroboration. That's my opinion.
Now I have to go back and read all 8453 posts of yours to see how "substantive and novel" they are. I'll get back to you.
I think I'm done here.
The bumper sticker on my car? I
CONEY ISLAND! -
modsquad, thanks, that was awesome.
Especially the part where we're all married, if you tilt the foil hat just right.
 -
one of my cousins was in the first gulf war (daddy bush's war, the one we're 'avenging' now) and he was a really aggressive teenager. so he somehow passed the psych exam to become a marine and head off to iraq. he was part of the first assault to come in. he can't talk about it. he's also completely fucking off-the-wall insane. he collects assault rifles and, thankfully, just moved to wyoming where there are fewer people he can accidentally hit when doing his bullshit target practice. even he, though we disagree and almost came to blows about many issues in a discussion last year, is against this war. he's a hardcore republican, he's pro spreading 'american values' and he's against this fucking war. so, get over yourself, modsquad. the point of the video is to show that even hardcore war veterans do not think it is okay. even people who maybe supported the initial invasion have realized this is a quagmire. and every man and woman who comes back from there is totally fucked up: dead or mentally and/or physically disabled.
my cousin, for the record, also uses an incredible amount of weed, is apparently on multiple psych drugs, drinks absurd amounts of beer, and was still ready to kill me for calling him a racist when he said I shouldn't live around so many black people. he's not sane.
and a guy I briefly almost dated (and then had to dodge for awhile) who was a more recent iraq war vet - baby bush's war - turned out to be a complete psycho control freak ... and plays that absurd online war game with all his buddies from his platoon. he couldn't stop with the whole reliving it so just decided to make the war ... at home.
no one is coming back from there unscarred. that's the point of the video. it's destroying not just the lives of the people involved in the war but the lives of the people around them, the people who have to deal with them because they're family, and it's just a horrible, horrible mess. -
modsquad wrote: Ritter showed some courage early on, but has been marginalized as of late to the point that he needs corroboration. That's my opinion.
Again, you're ignoring the substance of what he's saying and instead attacking him.
WEAK!

Did I say I'm for the war? I don't think so. I'm sorry for the family DNA.

^^ weaker.

YOU SAID "It's about the hypocritical sanctimoneous war-boosters who talk a big game about supporting the troops, but when it comes down to it the extent of their "support" is a bumper sticker". What is there to discuss? There probably are people like that. Are all people with magnetic yellow ribbons on their SUV's like that? If you want to believe that go right ahead.
-
So do you think most of the people who put these things on their cars volunteer at veterans hospitals etc., or do you think most of the people just buy them to make themselves feel better?
(or perhaps you might offer a different reason)
Just curious. -
Have I stumbled into an incestuous bloggers club or something.you all got your wheelchairs in a circle, laptops open stealing the WiFi from the McDonalds next door.
-
So that's the response you give to anyone who disagrees with you?
Retreat, dodge the substance of the discussion, and hurl insults and diversions?
Yep. You're right. It must just be us.
(where us = anyone else but you, have fun with that) -
21 posts so far, modsquad, and all you've contributed are gripes about other people's posts. Since you're so fond of definitions, I've got one for you:
Troll (Internet)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
An Internet troll, or simply troll in Internet slang, is someone who posts controversial and usually irrelevant or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum or chat room, with the intention of baiting other users into an emotional response[1] or to generally disrupt normal on-topic discussion. -
Oh great. Dodges my invitation for a real answer, and twists my question in an attempt to conflate it with a whole 'nuther issue.
Okay, back at you. Are you now saying that supporting the war and supporting the troops are the same issue?
Comical...
