According to CNN, the hottest new spa treatment in the Washington, DC area is fish pedicures, where tiny, toothless carp nibble away all your dead skin, for the nom-nom-nominal fee of $35. According to customers, the treatment produces just a tingling sensation: "It kind of feels like your foot's asleep," says one. It's all happening at Yvonne Hair and Nails salon, where the elite meet to become a fishy treat.

    the fish spa was shown on the abc's reality show "i survived japanese game show" before, it looks weird.

    I knew they did that! I was once in rio frio in west texas and was kinda like "er, why are all those fish eating my skin?"

    sure enough, even though I only hung out in the water for like 20 mins, my calluses were nicely nibbled away. but. um. I didn't know that would happen. grody. it's weird.

    The big question is, what happens to those poor fish after they service a client ,are they forced to endure a lifetime diet of hangnails and foot funguses or are set free ,or sent to a Sushi Bar and sold as Shashimi.
