Every Thursday, from 7:30-11:30,in August will feature the music of the Charles Sibirsky Trio with a rotating group of musicians.

8/7 Jimmy Halperin, sax
Dan Shuman, bass

8/14,21 Gary Levy, sax
Ray Parker, bass

8/28 Charley Krachy, sax
Ray Parker, bass

AND the trio will be at AJI this Thursday evening as well so if you are in to it stop by this week when it is still July before the crowds show up.

  • Well not only is he alive but he is probably one of the most accomplished Jazz players on the scene. He has many incredible cds that have been released including a duo with the late Sal Mosca. If you are interested in hearing what he sounds like before the Aji gig check out Zinnia Records.
    JImmy does not play out all that much so that particular Thursday should be a highlight in this series of Jazz at Aji.

  • Yea, he was awesome then, so I'm sure he's even better now.

    For a while there, he lived (he may still) in the town I grew up in...funny, cause I ran into him at the beach and said, "what are you doing here, man?" and turns out he'd been living there for years....he cracks me up. He's so elusive, yet apparently, so in the public eye.

    you know he wrote that song...god, what's her name...oh man....total blank right now.....in the 80's....
