Hold up on PPW

First reaction: Yay, another crime in my immediate neighborhood.
Second reaction: That tiny little hole in the wall had $200?
Good grief on both accounts.
Serious question: Has this been going on for the past few years and we just didn't know about it because we weren't reading Brooklynian? Or are things getting worse? -
Yeah, my daughter called me yesterday to tell me about it. Darn it.

that sucks.

Subject: http://www.sariwafoods.com/
On another topic, Sariwa has a nice, simple website that is easy to read...information is well displayed.
http://www.sariwafoods.com/
Many other local businesses have complex, crappy websites with flash animation and poor graphics (white font in front of pale images) that waste your time by forcing you to watch a dumb video or play some type of click-on-the-moving-icon video game. When it comes to restaurant websites, quick information on menu, prices, directions, phone numbers, and perhaps some recent published reviews and interesting information on the owners and staff is good enough. -
Also on Saturday night, at about 8 p.m., the organic bodega on 8th Ave. and 12th Street was also robbed. I saw a bunch of cop cars there and heard that a clerk was struck in the head with a gun by a woman (or couple of women).

when times are tough, thugs like to goto richer areas to do some shopping.

72nd precinct: 718.965.6326. Call them and demand action.
Where the #$% is the 72 precinct?!
We've had murder, break-ins, stabbings, hold-ups, muggings and rape in and near our neighborhood… AND ALL IN ONE SUMMER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
One day, on the way to Enzo's, my family will be spit on by a pestilent crackhead, then shot, robbed, and stabbed with dirty needles for good measure, while our apartment is simultaneously vandalized.
The week of our wake, the 72nd precinct will drive a car or two through our neighborhood once or twice to show action. People will shake their heads and move on with their lives. And the f..king vagrants at Bartel Pritchard will be free to yell, scream, and threaten decent, tax-paying, families.
The 72nd precinct's commitment to "keeping us safe" is shamefully lacking in and around Bartel Pritchard Square. And don't get me started on their turning a blind eye to the constant traffic danger caused by A-HOLES turning onto PPSW from all three lanes! If the cops put a man on that corner, they would be able to issue a ticket at EVERY CHANGING OF THE LIGHT!! -

Hell yes. This is the most unsafe intersection I have ever seen. (And I've been to Naples.) Crazy ass driving.
Set up a video camera and catch them all! Oh, the money they would make!
But no. This is apparently a black hole of law enforcement, where looking the other way is a time-honored tradition. -

Have you been calling them yourself? What type of response have you been getting? Are you attending community meetings? Sometimes I find them tedious (people bring up all kinds of random shit, much of with has nothing to do with police), but important to show up anyway and try to hold their feet to the fire -
That tiny little hole in the wall has amazing lumpia....
Howdy, Stranger!
