What do you guys do for exercise in Sunset Park? Gyms?

Hi Sunset Park and Greenwood heights folks:

My contract for my gym membership is slated to expire. I have been going to a gym in Chelsea. Its not as convenient as it used to be. The hours also suck.

So are there good gyms with great hours (6 am to 12am weeknights or 24 hours) in the Sunset Park area (30s to 50s between 2 and 5th avenues)?

I have been walking around a lot and haven't noticed a nearby gym. I have been thinking about maybe buying a bicycle or skates, but where I live (40's on 4th) there doesnt seem to be a lot of bike riding areas with exception of the park, which well doesnt have paths large enough for an actual bike. I know there is a NY sports club and a YMCA in Park slope, but that is a serious bus ride away :roll: and I am looking for convenience.

Jogging around the park does a good job of kicking my ass, what with the two-avenue-long hill. Also, for $25 you can get a membership to the Rec Center in the park. It's a bit rough around the edges, but there is a weight room and some treadmills.

What do you guys do for exercise in Sunset Park? Gyms?
