yes, he is restoring it to keep it at the new store. I heard this from the owner

So it's going to be a Liquor store with a big sign that says "Candy, Soda, Ice Cream". That makes a lot of sense..... Why doesn't he just give (or sell) it to Lia's Ices?

I don't know, but when it was uncovered a lot of people came to him and told him to save it. I'm glad it's not ending up in a dumpster somewhere.
-
Very glad to see it again. I was sure it had been sold for pricey architectural salvage.

Yeah, I'm glad of that too. I should not have complained about it not fitting his store. I take that back. -

i was afraid of the same thing. i am so glad it hasn't been removed. it does look quite beautiful. -
Another person happy to hear that its staying in the neighborhood. Im sure he could have sold it for a pretty penny.

So Windsor Wines has finally opened in it’s new location. It does look nice in there. Right now they just have the old “Candy, Soda, Ice Cream” sign up and papers in the front window saying Windsor Wines. I wonder if they’re going to put a real Wine sign above the Candy sign.

Mmm wine is kind of like candy!!!!!

they've been in their new space a few weeks now. are they really doing all that much better than they were around the corner? you gotta figure the rent in the new space is so much more than around the corner. i wonder if the move was really worth it for them.

the new space is really, really nice. the original floor tiling is spectacular. i wish them good things (though unless i've run out, i'm still buying my wine in jersey by the case at the discounted wine store, about $70 for 12, mix and match)

I think they will do better this way. Now that they are in a more visible location, it just reminds me to pick up a bottle of wine when I might have forgotten about it before.
