Sunday Best
I went to this really cool kinda private park on Carroll street right on the Gowanus and saw Afrika Bambaatta yesterday. THIS PLACE IS GREAT!!!
I swear it felt just like the 80s. A very fun and positive crowd and NO COPS!
They run a nice lil beer and sangria bar and have all kinds of comfy seating under trees and a dancefloor. They are having events every Sunday for the rest of the summer. I don't like to go out anywhere anymore and I give this my highest reccomendation. Just thought you would like to know about it.

And the "no cop" info... Well this is an area you want some cops actually... -
I went a couple of weeks ago, it's sort of like PS1 from a few years ago minus the bad art and the euro trash. when i went it was some form of house music playing, i'm not a fan of that really, but i was able to ignore it easily enough. it's got a feel sort of like vacationing at a dodgy cabin colony in lake george back in the late 70's. perfect for summer. they let you bring your bike inside the compound too. when i went the bartender was pouring a large bottle of rum into the sangria. i initially found that off putting, but took a risk on it, and it was actually tasty. plus i only needed one to get tipsy.

I already said I am not affilliated and it was just a nice cool vibe and thats it.
Again I ask you to please delete this entire thread as they are so hostile and unappreciative. Thats why they got called the c word and I got worse words for them too. PLEASE DELETE THIS THREAD. -
In defense of Guest, I have heard very good things about this place (really pissed I missed that Afrika show... ](*,) )- and the fact that they even had that show there- I don't even have to go to confirm- it's a given.
FWIW- and maybe because I'd heard positive things about it before, I didn't think Guest's post was a shill. -

Subject: so does it exist?
the ambience sounds great, especially for a chill Sunday afternoon in the summer.
so does anyone know if " The Yard" exists or not? -
Yeah the yard. It's not a private park its a debris strewn warehouse parking lot and it can be a lot of fun.
If it gets any more popular they are going to have permit issues.
OP, no offsense but the post sounded crazy shilly and begging for it to be deleted also makes it sound like you're affiliated because now you don't want the negative vibe in the thread associated with the product.
Howdy, Stranger!
