er, can you post the text of the email? we can't be sure without seeing it.
-
i think Whatchu is talking about the top of the webpage which states:
"Brooklynian by mail! Enter your email address:___"
i was wondering about that, too. -
Why don't one of you type in your email to see what happens.....

-
Cause I don't give my email out freely...you do it!
-
ok FINE!
I'm gonna do it. Right......now.

Here's what happened:

Based on the clues provided (feedburner, email, subscribing) I snooped around the Feedburner site and found the following:
FeedBurner Email Overview and FAQ
http://www.feedburner.com/fb/a/publishers/fbemailWhat is FeedBurner Email?
So in a Brooklynian sense, I guess you'd get periodic emails that look like Brooklynian's RSS feed, found at the following location:
FeedBurner email is a service that allows publishers to deliver their feed content to subscribers via email.
Who needs this service and why?
Bloggers, podcasters, personal and commercial publishers who want subscribers to have an alternative method for receiving feed content - the familiar setting of their email inbox.

Or wait, perhaps it would be a new email for *each* new thread posted, as Feedburner's example would indicate...
http://blogs.feedburner.com/help/SampleFeedBurnerEmail.php
So, not sure if it will be a snapshot of all the latest topics, or of each new item as it is posted.
Perhaps DH or someone subscribed might elaborate. -
I don't know....
I don't want to get in too deep....
I think we shouldn't ask questions. :silent:
Meet me at the docks. :-$ -
WHERE ARE YOU DH???
-
Jeffrey is right. This is essentially a way to get the "all topics" RSS feed delivered to your email.
There is no other magic or mystery to it. -
Ok- makes sense. A while ago though, I tried to do the RSS feed and it didn't work. Not sure if it was something I did or didn't do correctly....
