scarlet ribbons

Yes. I've got a few things there. It's very tightly packed with stuff inside. Borderline overwhelming. But that can be a good thing in a thrift store.
The guy who runs it is nice, and everything I got was priced to move. e.g. four wine glasses for six dollars.
One day this Spring there were two beautiful traditional chinese garments hung outside. Like what would be worn to a ceremony. Fine embroidery. Backs so long that they touch the ground. Still had the price tags on in I forget which asian currency. HK dollars? Those garments are probably gone by now, but what i'm saying is: you never know what you'll find there. -
ooo, sounds great -- i had no idea it wasn't new.

Subject: new?
Oh, whoops! you said Franklin. The place i've been is on Kingston, also between EP and Lincoln. Sorry, i've got some kind of cross-wired memory with those two street names. Always mixing them up.
Thrift stores, there are a few off Pitkin Ave, furniture, mostly unlovable. Some oddities, though. Still regret not buying that folk art painting from Puerto Rico. A market scene. Oh well.
Def. will check out the one on Franklin. Thanks. -
I've been to the one on Kingston, and it's so packed with stuff, it's overwhelming to the point of claustrophobia. Frankly, that store intimidated me. I suppose I should give that one another look, as well as the new one on Franklin.

Scarlet Ribbons has been there for quite awhile hiding under a Hair Salon awning (Hair salon I believed moved into the old Black Star Tattoo place on Franklin and Sterling) probably about eight months ago or maybe longer. It is good to see a proper awning. And thou I have never stepped in it does look to be stuffed with some nice things. There is also another thrift shop a few doors down from Scarlet under a Fresh Juice awning... Something about Franklin Avenue the shops, I guess, feel no hurry to put up proper signs (The pizza place??)
