Do you have an old instrument lying around? Donate!

PS RS: Park Slope Rock School is in development and looking for instrument donations to help improve the "student to axe" ratio! We're mainly interested in electric guitar and electric bass, although cables, drumsticks and cymbals would be welcome as well.

These instruments do not need to be in perfect condition, just good enough to stay in tune and be played easily.

If you have any old dusty cases down in the basement from your hair metal days, contact me at [email protected] and we can take it off your hands!

Thanks. Rock on.

  • Jason good luck with this Rock School. I can understandwhy you would want a set of "house drums" and some amps but why are you looking for instruments? Perhaps I was missing the concept when I read your post about this. I assumed that these kids already had some playing skills and their own instruments that they were already using to practice. Anyway, just curious.
Do you have a website up yet?

I'll be running the school from a local rehearsal space which comes equipped with drums, amps, and keyboards but not guitars. I assume some students will have their own instruments, but these are for the kids who are just starting out and may not have their own.

I have experience starting from square one and I hope kids that have no musical history but a strong desire to learn will be interested in the program as well.

Keep an eye out for an article in the Brooklyn Paper tomorrow (Fri) about the school!

    Website is on its way!

    Thanks!
