The last poster gave it rave reviews. I'll be interested to hear more feedback and will be stopping by myself soon! -
ah cool, thanks! yeah, very excited to get over there myself.

Subject: Colador Cafe
I had a chance to stop by on Sunday for dinner and had the grilled salmon with sautéed spinach and it was delicious! The spice chai latte is awesome and the atmosphere is very relaxed and friendly. I was also able to use my laptop there as they provide free wi-fi. -
just came from colador cafe and was very impressed. great feel, nice atmosphere, open air front is great for watching people on bedford. The menu looks promising but i'd already eaten so didn't try anything. i'd love to have it as a go-to for a late evening sandwich (is the kitchen always open - i thought i heard someone say it closes at 7?)
a few other things would be nice, like:
more newspapers (voice, onion, nypress, bk paper etc - these are always a draw for me - tillie's in ft greene has them all so i find myself favoring it over other spots)
some bakery (muffins, cookies etc - and they don't have to be the $4-6 organic stuff - here's the tip of the century: buy 2 dozen fresh cookies at Pathmark for $3 and sell them for a buck a piece!!) which would be a great way to upsell on a coffee order.
Also, i don't think the take-out menu i took with me lists the hours and i didn't see them posted (if they are posted somewhere, dont hurt me:)), which is a must if you read the tips on bedstuy blog.
Overall, i really like the place and plan to make many, many repeat visits. It's a great addition to the neighborhood, so I hope people check it out to keep it alive. I'll certainly be promoting it in my building... -
really? no one else has checked this place out?
-
what to they have to eat there besides salmon and spinach? what kind of cuisine is it?
-
i'm going tomorrow! i'll post a report.

As promised, I stopped by today for lunch. I contributed to the yelp review, but I'll basically rehash here: I loved the space, so bright and open and airy, the window seats at the front are fabulous. I lounged there and enjoyed my portabello mushroom sandwich with goat cheese and onions, along with a garden salad and and honest ade. All very tasty! The salad especially exceeded my expectations. And the portions were just right for the prices, I left extremely satisfied. The guys working the counter were really nice, I was told they'd be open til 9 (not sure if that is just on weekends or during the week as well). There was a basic breakfast menu, sandwiches, some salads, paninis and burgers as well. I'll definitely be back and would encourage others to go!

Checked it out for brunch with the fam. Nice space. Chill patrons. No less than 15 people working there at once!
My steak and eggs were generous and yum. Wife's terrine baked eggs were really good and a fairly unique presentation.
Service was heavily covered and earnestly getting their sea-legs.
Layout was well planned and the window stools will be hard to get come winter.
They look set to sling a lot of good joe and have an interesting enough interior to keep the hipsters.
I wish them the best of luck and we will return!
Howdy, Stranger!
