Unbelievable. Another Fulton bodega. — Brooklynian

Unbelievable. Another Fulton bodega.

I saw them putting up the big dumb awning today on the corner of Fulton and Cambridge Place where the "1001 Affairs" florist used to be.

This Deli/Grocery joins the ones within one block on Fulton & St James, Fulton & Washington, and the two at Fulton & Grand... maybe this one will have great sandwiches or clean shelves or something. Judging by the bubbly font on the awning I guess it won't.

  • are you effing kidding me. that sucks.
  • Maybe they will sell a better brand of crack pipes?
  • So what would you prefer to see another overpriced bullshit french restaurant?
  • On Fulton - yes. Tho a reasonably priced Mexican place would be okay. Or real Thai food. Or a bakery. Hmm, but now that I think of it many of my wishes have been fulfilled - wine store, organic grocer.
  • Sick as in good or sick as in bad? A shoe repair place (altho there is one at Franklin at Fulton) would also be nice.

Assuming you meant sick as in bad, JAH, the list I am giving is of the kind of places I would patronize. Honestly I have to agree with you that the French bistro seems to have been done to death (what about a nice Italian spot?), but really what are the economics of (from Clinton to Classon) 8 not so clean bodegas along Fulton? I hope the organic grocery is a representation of the increased quality and service coming to the area.

yes shoe repair is good. regular non restaurant lounge neighborhood things are good.

the health food store is very limited and overpriced. not a big fan.
  • Pretty much anything that doesn't sell dusty cans of food and sad produce would be a nice change.
