The great apartment hunt, part 27.2 — Brooklynian

The great apartment hunt, part 27.2

Hi all~ The time has finally come to stop the great migration all over manhattan, brooklyn, westchester and elsewhere and to cease residence at my sisters and bid a fond farewell to bushwick-

My room mates and I will be avoiding brokers, have a cat, have guarantors, want to pay $2,400 or less for rent, want to live in a safe neighborhood and be reasonably close to transportation-

Earlier, WT was recommended to me and I have an obsession with Prospect Hts that can also stretch to include Sunset Park.

Does anyone have any building/mgmt/landlord recommendations for us to narrow our search? We will be all over craigslist this weekend for Monday-Thursday appointments to secure a Sept 1st lease, but the only building I am familiar with is the old Jewish Hospital on prospect place.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated :-) Thanks!

  • Oops! also forgot- looking for a 3br
If it's a little over $2400 but close, that's cool.
    Thanks all~
  • If you're interested in Prospect Heights, I would not recommend WT.

If you're considering WT, I can share some of our experiences here.
  • bay ridge also has things around that price.

also I dont see how anyone could have problems with WT other than it being too dead at all hours.
  • It's just different than Prospect Heights. All I was saying.

If you do consider WT, avoid the direct proximity of Farrell's, which is not too dead at all hours.
