Gun shots at Franklin/Bedford and St. Marks Ave? — Brooklynian

Gun shots at Franklin/Bedford and St. Marks Ave?

I hate to post another thread about gunshots, but... Last night I heard a few people going past my window. One guy was yelling at someone that they were a bitch and threatening them... and what sounded like someone pleading. Then there were 4 shots... near Bedford and St. Marks Ave, maybe. Anyone know anything? I called the police, who sent a car by, but I heard no sirens. I hope to god no one was hurt...

You're not supposed to hear sirens. If you hear sirens so does the guy with the gun and he knows he needs to beat feet.
  • yeah, I saw the car go by, but I thought if they found someone hurt then I'd hear sirens...
  • Gushots in Crown Heights during the time of the Labor Day parade?

    I don't believe it!

Oh well, at least people weren't "hankering for fights" as they allegedly do at the St. Patrick's Day parade.

A whiteboy making snide comments such as this?

    I don't believe it!

Oh well, at least you're still afraid to walk down the street due to your white guilt and shame.
  • To be frank, this incident was very upsetting to me and has haunted me all day. This is serious stuff, people, considering that a human life could have been at stake.

I prefer that neither of you use this thread to taunt one another since there are plenty of other threads about these topics (whether the parade is violent and race issues).

Of course, maybe I'm asking for it but I am asking that folks not take this thread over with this aggressive crap.

Jenn you live in Crown Heights. Get used to it. Otherwise you might feel more comfortable in Brooklyn Heights or Park Slope or something.

Your compassion is overwhelming. Please. You give too much.
  • Actually, this has been a relatively quiet parade week and weekend. Seems to me we've had nowhere near the problems we've seen in the past.

Thanks to the event organizers and NYPD for keeping it enjoyable for everyone... Unless you enjoy shooting people and urinating on your neighbors' lawn... Then I guess this year kind of sucked.
  • JAH, please, if you will, tell me what race I am, because your first guess was incorrect.
