    that took me a second.

anyway, I'm not clear on exactly what the pentathlon entails. going to the park, throwing snowballs and drinking mulled wine? any feats of courage...
  • Hmmm...do we need a DH Festivus party?

don't forget that you can engage in open and notorious mockery of me while I fall on my ass repeatedly attempting to walk to the park.

The snowball fight is only one of the 18 events in the increasingly inaccurately named 'lazy man pentathlon.'

Feats of courage? Evidently you haven't seen a Minnesotan in a snowball fight... hell hath no fury...

I've been hearing people in the office say that it's going to snow heavily tonight...
  • nybt wrote: I've been hearing people in the office say that it's going to snow heavily tonight...
I have to leave for work at around 10pm, but if it snows heavily before then and you want to have a go at it before 9, I'm game. Otherwise, I'm sure there will still be plenty of snow on the ground in the park by tomorrow night.

Snow showers will come and go early with a steadier snow developing late. Low near 30F. Winds NNE at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of snow 70%. 2 to 4 inches of snow expected.

If I see it start to fall, I'll find an excuse to leave...

  • Hey not to be a party pooper, but does anyone know if there's like any respite from the alternate side of the street parking thing if it snows... in other words, say my car is parked in a spot that won't allow me to leave it there on Tuesday between 9:30 and 11, then tomorrow I wake up and my compact car has been plowed in or there is enough snow that I can't really move it, will I get a ticket? Is there anywhere where I can go to find out if the rules are being enforced or not?

I might be in for a bit of Bart Simpson dilemma... the snow might force me inside to write the paper I've been putting off forever, but the lure of playing in the snow will almost certainly make me lose focus of the task at hand.
