Fire alarm ringing NONSTOP — Brooklynian

Fire alarm ringing NONSTOP

I am near Dekalb and Stuyvesant and there is some sort of fire alarm ringing almost nonstop ALL weekend, last night, and this morning. It is SO loud I can hear it TWO blocks away and it is driving me nuts!!! I am not sure if it is coming from the school for the Roosevelt Houses.

Who can I complain to?

  • Well, if it is coming from a school, then I imagine they will get it cleared up this AM. You could try calling 311 or the local precinct.
  • Subject: hmm

I should do that. Anytime I call 311 either nothing comes of it or they redirect me to 911. There is no middle ground with those people.

Every time I've called 311 I invariably end up getting transferred via multiple clicks and pops over several minutes to a dial tone.

Except when they forgot to pick up my trash once in SI. That time they sent a trash truck. It was very cool and unexpected, given prior experiences.

  • At least it worked once!!
