Ivan the Not-So-Terrible

This gorgeous 5-month old Russian Blue boy with stunning green eyes was rescued as a young kitten along with his siblings as part of feral TNR effort. When it was time for him to be released back to the colony his brothers took off, but little Ivan stayed in his carrier, refusing to go! It seems he has made his choice.

He has spent the last 2 ½ months in a foster home where he has made great progress. Unfortunately he can’t stay there forever, and we need to find another home for him (adoption or long-term foster) ASAP.



Ivan loves other cats and is slowly warming up to people. He is a bit shy and reluctant, but his little motor starts running once you stroke his head and cheeks! He is a sweet, special guy who will require some patience and a little extra coaxing to help him feel safe and secure. He is not at all mean, just timid. He is just starting to realize how good petting feels, and he needs someone willing to give him time and go slowly.

Ivan would make a terrific second cat – especially if your cat needs a companion to pal around with, but doesn’t necessarily want to share the spotlight. ☺

He may not jump up into your lap anytime soon, but you can pick him up, and he likes to be held like a baby, have his ears gently rubbed, and he loves eating baby food from your fingers!


If we are unable to find a home for Ivan, he may have to be released back outside to a colony. This would be a real shame after all the progress he is making as indoor kitty! I would be happy to make visits and provide ongoing support to whoever can give this wonderful, sweet little guy a home. He has so much potential to be a real loverbug!
