Did you know my other aunts .. Jeanette, and Ann .. ? They are just a couple of years older than Elaine... She has 3 boys.. They are all school teachers in Long Island...I will have to tell her you asked... I am sure she will get a kick out of that !!

Do you remember where he was moving to when he left 20th Street?? I tried to google him but unfortunately Jerome Howard is also the name of Curly from The Stooges, and he keeps coming up. He also has a page on My Space, even though he is dead, lol.

HI DONNA TANZILLO I WROTE TO YOU A FEW DAYS AGO ON THIS. I DON'T KNOW IF YOU SAW THE COMMENT, BUT CALL ME 646 591 5444.
SAY HI TO KENNY FOR ME
-
Everyone please do not call the yacht club for information, someone called there the other day and got nasty with one of the members. The members don't have any information about the reunion. This person wanted to know where to bring her money and what kind of food was being served.
Whoever you are you need to contact Terry she is in charge.
I know it is someone who reads this blog, because I put the clubs phone # down just in case someone couldn't find it they could call Sunday.
And like I said before everyone is welcome to stop in on Saturday it's a free party and I'll be practicing making egg creams. -
Terry, Christy said everything is taken care of.
The Commodore will be there to meet and greet everyone. His name is Tony he's a great guy. Also if anyone is interested in joining the club let Tony or I know. The benefit of joining a yacht club is your yacht club card . while traveling you can visit any yacht club anywhere in the world most clubs have a dining area and the food is reasonably cheap and good.
Maryland has one of the best.
Ok enough rattling Have a great night, Ann Marie -

BOBBY BANJANY you are going to laugh, Pete doesn't remember you !!
I can hear you saying....DOESN'T ANYONE REMEMBER ME.
Then again Pete doesn't remember last week. Could it be Danny who went to the movies with you, & you mixed up the two ? You used to come down to 6th avenue to play or they went to 19th st. ?
yes... Nick was in Mikes candy store at night (great father-n -law )
I grew up with Joey Aversano and we remained very close for years. Still talk with his sister. Like you , all the names you mentioned I knew.
Pete wants to know are you going to this reunion ? -
Does anyone remember the girls that lived on 6th Avenue and 17th,the Campisi sisters?? I ran into one of them about 15 years ago on 86th St. at Century 21. What about Carol Alaia who lived on 20th & 6th above the bar?
-
Carol's a regular !!! Congratulations !!!
-
Terry Ann,
I am looking forward to your album and the reunion.
Speaking of horror movies, does anyone remember (my favorite): "Mr. Sardonicus"? In it Mr. Sardonicus is a ghoul who eats dead bodies, tortures a maid by tying her up by her thumbs and sticking leeches all over her, and gets his one-eyed recalcitrant assistant back in line by saying, "Do I need to remind you that you used to have TWO eyes?" I was terrified and glanced over at my father who was snoring, as he usually did during his Sunday forced escorting of his children to the Sanders. I couldn't believe that he was sleeping through the horror. Everybody in the audience was given a card with a green iridescent thumb on it and at the end of "Mr. Sardonicus" William Castle, the director, came on screen and asked us to give the thumbs up if we wanted Mr. Sardonicus to be able to open his mouth and eat, or thumbs down if we wanted Mr. Sardonicus's jaw to remain clamped while he tried to shove chicken legs and other food into his mouth. We moviegoers held up our cards while William Castle, on screen, pretended to count the thumbs in the audience. He said things like, "Will the man in the third row please hold your card up higher--I can't see it." In the end, the audience voted that that bastard Mr. Sardonicus remain with clamped jaw so that he would starve to death. That movie was the best! I don't know if my father slept through the voting on Mr. S's fate, but I doubt if I would have let him considering the excitement and importance of the vote. -
BOB HORAN I was telling my brother about the person who mentioned 23 st. park Testers . So he says "know how they got thier name" and I said Bob Horan beat you to the answer. He remembered 2 Testers Joe Black & Jimmy Peppers. He said the 20th st. boys turned into the skidrow boys . Then he told me the names of all the parks bordering the highway, prospect & 6th ave. was known as Riengold Park, Sniffers park 19th st. etc... He could not remember the 2 up on 7th Ave across from each other, do you ? Amazing they each had thier own pleasure or poison, how ever you look at it.
