*Need Help* Missing 10 Year Old Black Cat
Hey everyone. Hoping to find some help. We're in Brighton Beach and
our 10 year old black cat has been missing for a day. He has never left the house in all his 10 years except to go to the vet. Usually he likes hiding, but when we call him he comes out. His water has not been drunk from and his food has not been eaten so we know he hasn't been sneaking back out when we're not looking.
Neighbor said they heard cats fighting--there are a lot of stray cats and people who let their cats out and they often fight. Our cat tends to run away when confronted and we think he may have been chased off somewhere. We searched all over the house, including basement and garage and the neighborhood and have no found him.
If anyone here lives in Brigton Beach or knows someone who does, please pass this info along.
He's a black cat with yellow eyes, neutered, purple paw pads. He's old so has some weight on him, he's not skinny but not obese either. If you think you found him please contact.

So sorry about your cat. If you haven't already, make up fliers and hang them all over the neighborhood, including the local vet offices. Good luck - I hope you find him soon!

Be sure to call 311 and all local vet clinics and report him missing. Definitely post flyers. I have found that the best time to search is early in the morning or right at dusk. Good luck and keep us posted!

when my cat ran away i read that they usually stick close to home, but are spooked so they don't come right back, even if they're near. so look right around your house, behind garbage cans, in the underbrush, etc. most cats dont' need much to hide themselves. in fact, the two cats i've had go missing in the past were both found on the same block i lived on. good luck!
